Lawrence Lee headlines Bassis Asia & .TAG’s debut collaborative event, Pleasures of Anomaly

In a celebration of creative diversity and collaboration, Bassis Asia and .TAG Chengdu are set to launch the inaugural Pleasures of Anomaly event, coinciding with .TAG’s tenth-anniversary tour.

Known for fostering communities within the region, Bassis Asia continues to champion creativity and innovation in the music industry via this event that serves as a platform to encourage meaningful interaction and relationships.

At the core of Pleasures of Anomaly lies a commitment to embracing individuality and self-discovery. The event will feature both established and emerging artists, each bringing their unique craft and perspective to the forefront.

Through a fusion of art, music, and nightclub culture, Pleasures of Anomaly aims to blur boundaries and create inclusive spaces that support subcultures.

Collaborating with .TAG Chengdu adds another layer of excitement. As part of their anniversary tour, the nightclub brings Berlin-based artist and its international resident Lawrence Lee to the Asian leg of the celebration, headlining the night on April 9.

A New York native with Korean/Brazilian roots, Lawrence Lee relocated to Berlin where he developed a distinct sound blending futurism, off-kilter melodies, and captivating rhythms.

Additionally, the event will spotlight local and regional artists, including Singapore underground stalwart and Strange Weather member YetPet, plus a special collaborative performance from resident sound artist Fauxe and 3D fashion designer Rose Marie Sutanto that aims to elevate the immersive experience.

Bassis Asia residents have also been appointed for sonic duties; Jakarta’s Cyda will bring his dark disco, electro, and deep house sounds to the dancefloor alongside Donn’s prime selection of euphoric genres from disco, Balearic, Italo, breaks, down to the generations of house music.
