Coachella recently introduced a new stage named ‘Quasar’ that will debut at this year’s festival.

Jenn Yacoubian, Executive Vice President of Goldenvoice (Coachella’s parent company) mentioned "We’re looking at it as a traditional kind of DJ stage," further adding "We wanted people to be able to see longer format DJ sets."

The new stage will be located where the old Sahara tent has been in previous years.

As previewed by Heather Shaw from Vita Motus Design Studio, the new structure is designed with immersion in mind, boasting two “monolithic” LED walls offering dynamic visuals synchronised with the music from the extended sets that are said to go over three hours.

Positioned on opposite sides of the stage, the production crew will activate real-time content during the performances.
