Nina Kraviz, Dixon & Recondite have been booked to play on the Great Wall of China

Three of underground music's biggest players have just been confirmed to play the most recognizable structures in the world when The Great Wall of China, also the only man-made object visible from space, hosts an underground music festival this May.

The Great Wall Festival 2018 returns to China this year and offers festivalgoers in the country a very rare opportunity to see international techno talent complemented by panoramic views of sun setting over the Great Wall of China.

The festival has secured Nina Kraviz, Dixon and Recondite to headliner the event with support lent by Ou Yang, Huang Weiwei and Shen Yue. The event will be the first time Nina Kraviz plays a festival in China and Recondite will come with his full audio and visual show. Dixon is slated to play a special sunset set.

Further additions are still expected in the upcoming second phase announcement.

Last year, the festival hosted Ben Klock, Oliver Heldens and Fritz Kalkbrenner as well as a 5-kilometer run that preceded the event. The run will be held again this year and you can find more information here.

This year's event takes place on May 19th & 20th and is located at Simatai, a section of the Great Wall of China located in the north of Miyun County, 120 km northeast of Beijing. You can purchase tickets here.
