Tohji & Lumi spearhead Eastern Margins’ tour of North America

London-based collective Eastern Margins is embarking on its inaugural journey to North America, introducing its distinctive Redline sound to new audiences.

The tour titled Route:Redline follows the journey of previous tour concepts, bringing their perspective of East and South East Asian culture over to a predominant spotlight on Asian American culture.

This May, they’re set to sprinkle their flavour of alternative Asian culture across three cities: Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver.

Steering the ship on the tour would be Tohji, alongside label head Lumi who will be bringing the beats from Indonesia’s Jedag Jedug to the sounds of Filipino Bombtek and undoubtedly a whole lot more.

In each respective city, a unique line-up of artists will take centre stage. The Los Angeles gig will be held at 1720 Warehouse with Minty Boi as promoter and will include a line-up of Tohji, SEBii, Alice Longyu Gao and glasear.

The event in Vancouver will take place at Village Studios, organized by renowned party collective Normie Corp, and will feature Tohji, 果女GOGO, Lumi, AGS and Wet Goat.

The crew will be ending the tour at ELSEWHERE in New York City with Tohji, FiFi Zhang, No_4mat and Yellowtechnica as beat purveyors.

This Route:Redline tour looks to introduce burnt Bluetooth anthems, jeepney burnouts and hi-NRG DIY ‘why not’ mentality to the stages of North America.
