We Are Neurotic merge acid jazz with Brazilian samba on latest single

Indonesian disco and jazz trio We Are Neurotic are back with their second release via C3DO Recordings titled ‘Deus É Samba’.

It fuses We Are Neurotic’s signature jazzy instrumental energy with the freshness and vitality of Brazilian samba in such a harmonious and effortless way.

C3DO Recordings was co-founded by We Are Neurotic only a few months ago, with a focus on a steady stream of playful house, disco and electronic music.

The intro to the track sets you straight to Brazil’s carnival, but rather than Latin funk being the motive, which is expected, it drops into one of the grooviest basslines we’ve heard in a long time. This is met with smooth harmonious chords and even smoother vocals.

The track takes a turn on the back end when acid takes the reigns, adding more groove to the already electric track.

It’s perfect "poolside-with-a-cocktail-in-a-coconut" music. Imagine BADBADNOTGOOD but on an island vacation wearing Hawaiian shirts and leis.
